Avosil Scar Care Gel
Product Description and Benefits: Avosil Scar Care gel is an advanced formulation for scars containing salicylic acid derivative that helps the appearance of scars resulting from injury, surgery and burns. This gel is the first topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory product introduced on the market for reduction of scar inflammation and scar production. When used on closed incisions or burns, Avosil prevents hypertrophic scarring, relieves the pain and itching, moisturizes the skin and significantly improves scar appearance. As a result, the scar appears less red, thinner, softer and smoother.
Inflammation is the primary physiological process that leads to scarring. Avosil’s main ingredient, sodium salicylate, acts by inhibiting activation of genes responsible for the inflammatory response and ranks among the most powerful anti-inflammatory agents available by inhibiting the release of the inflammation gene promoter and preventing bacterial adhesion to the skin. Human safety of sodium salicylate is so well established that it has been available without prescription for years. This ingredient is clinically proven to reduce inflammation thereby limiting scar formation. In a recent study, patients treated for 90 days with 2% salycilate and a hydrogel reported significant symptomatic relief from tenderness and pain within days of the treatment.
It is recommended to apply Avosil Scar Care Gel twice a day, and for best results to wear it continuously for 24 hours per day. Patients usually observe improvement in the appearance of their scar approximately 4 weeks after the first application of Avocil.

Instructions for Use: Wash and completely dry hands before use. Gently cleanse the scar and surrounding skin with mild soap before application. Ensure that the scar and surrounding skin are clean and dry. Avosil Scar Care gel should not be used in patients with allergies to aspirin or sodium salicylate.
Ingredients: Sodium Salicylate (aspirin derivative), in polyethylene glycol (PEG) especially designed to reduce inflammation, as well as pain, and to provide moisture to improve the appearance of scars resulting from surgery, burns and injury.
